At the 2008 National Buffalo Wing Festival, 560,000 wings were served to 78,000 attendees over two days in Dunn Tire Park, a baseball stadium in downtown Buffalo, NY. (World champion eater Sonya Thomas ate 165 of those wings in 12 minutes this past year, only a little short of her 173-wing victory in 2007.) Nearly 30 different vendors offered wings and related snacks, with an admission price of $5 and a fixed food price of $2 for 3 wings. Will the organizers top last year's event in 2009?
