Unlike the other Niagara Wine Trail events, this wine tasting runs across ten different Niagara Wine Trail wineries but doesn't use a single ticket admission system; you bring a $3 donation in exchange for a tasting at each participating winery, and non-perishable food items are separately accepted as donations. All proceeds and goods are donated to a local pantry. Participants need to schedule their own transportation from site to site, which is offered by local companies.

Oinktoberfest

Primarily designed as an official New York State competition venue for the Kansas City Barbecue Society's chicken, pork ribs, pork butt/shoulder, and beef brisket cook-offs - plus side dishes and desserts - Oinktoberfest draws a surprising number (~75) of BBQ teams from across the region, and also offers separate Outdoor Cooking and Chili Cookoff contests on the last day of the event. This year's theme is "Las Vegas Style," and visitors can expect to sample BBQ from a relatively smaller collection of vendors set up for catering rather than competition. If you want to sample lots of pork and brisket in one place, this is where you can do it.
